The National Institute of Nutritional Education (NINE) was founded in 1980 and was incorporated into the American Health Science University in 1997. AHSU/NINE is incorporated in and regulated by the State of Colorado Department of Higher Education Division of Private Proprietary School and Division of Extended Studies.

AHSU/NINE is an adult, distance learning institution that offers Certified Nutritionist CN™ program and Master's Degree in Nutrition Science program. Both programs were designed specifically for busy adults who desire to help others achieve optimal health through nutrition and lifestyle and who need a flexible learning environment.
