![]() Academy for Five Element Acupuncture Our Master of Acupuncture (M.Ac.) program is uniquely structured relative to other accredited programs nationwide. The most distinctive feature is that during the first two academic years of full-time study, classroom instruction is presented in periodic 14-day teaching intensives, instead of the customary weekly classes offered at most other schools. Teaching intensives typically occur once every four months. Students are required to be physically present in Florida for the entire duration of these two-week intensives, and must attend classes on all required days. After the intensives are over, students return home, where they complete homework, other intersession assignments and complete additional corequisite courses. The Academy's Chinese Herbal Studies program is a one-of-a-kind course designed to teach Chinese herbal medicine from the richness of the Five Element tradition, and its depth in relationship to acupuncture treatment. The 27-month program integrates Eight Principle Zang/Fu concepts using a Five Element model as the fundamental framework for theory, diagnosis and treatment. The primacy of the Five Element tradition in this program enriches the study of Chinese herbalism.|We offer a highly distinctive Acupuncture and Herbal Studies curriculum with a specific focus on the Five Elements 305 SE 2nd.
